Lunch at the Thatched Cottage with Martin Matysik

Wild, edible forest mushrooms

A group of members and guests enjoyed a very convivial lunch on a beautiful day in the New Forest.

Fresh wild mushrooms from the forest were offerred with both sole and vension by Maitre Rotisseur Martin Matysik, and a stunning dessert of Poached White Peach in Mint Soup.

Martin opened the restaurant especially for this Chaîne lunch before leaving the next morning for Japan and a holiday with his family. As always, many vowing to return soon.
